God Is My Refuge!

Are you living in Fear? Have circumstances in the world left your heart and mind and soul without strength? There is #AlwaysHope

May God be your refuge and strength today! May he be your ever present help. Do not fear for God is in control!

He knows the number of our days, hold his hand let him lead you to your promise land in His very special way.

“Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.”

Psalms 46:6 NIV

Does this sound familiar? It seems the very earth is quaking. Why? To shake people up? To open our eyes? Perhaps it’s time to look up!

“God makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.

Yet God says at the end of that chapter…

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”” Psalms 46:6, 9-10 NIV

“ Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth. Psalms 46:10

“ Stop fighting, and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.”” Psalms 46:10 CSB

“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalms 46:10 NASB

Gosh the Bible tells us to cease striving, to stop fighting, to get rid of our anxiety yet that’s exactly what we see happening today! Anger is rising. Rioting in the streets. People destroying national monuments under the guise of their freedom! Join me People, we must PRAY FOR PEACE!

Lord, You are Ruler over Heavens and Earth! Quiet our heart and still our troubled mind that we would hear your smiling voice speaking to our heart Bring comfort and peace to our nation. A peace to those who seek you a refuge in the storm!

Calm our anxious hearts and fill them with HOPE that we can trust YOU with our every need. Open the eyes of the blind that they may see open hearts to love open ears that they would Hear the Word of God! In Jesus name we pray!
