Happy Mother’s Day – Always a Mom!
Have you ever thought about Mary who is often remembered as the Greatest Mother blessed with the honor of raising the Son of God, Jesus?
Mary was filled with extremes. Blessed beyond measure the joy of raising the Son of God, however, the agony of watching Him die must have been excruciating! Mary was Always a Mom.
Mother’s Day is the same. For some the joys are above and beyond, yet for others the agony of loss of their child is overwhelming! Even in the Death of a child, A mom Always a Mom.
Mothers, like Mary ponder all the cherished memories of their children in their heart. Their love never ends just as in 1 Cor 13
Lord, thank you for our children and grandchildren! Thank you for the love of our mothers who never gave up. A love sent down from above.
Today, I pray for all the moms whose hearts are breaking from the loss of their child, they are Always a Mom! Send down your Holy Spirit Comfort with your love and strength and peace. Help us to remember that with the beauty of the rose comes thorns! Help us to stop, to smell the roses, pondering remembering the beauty in spite of the thorns! In Jesus name Amen!
