Journey of Hope Through Lent – Day 11 Restore Hope

Journey of Hope Through Lent – Day 11 Restore Hope

Lent Day 11

Will my Soul ever be Restored?

Psalms 23

The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want. He leads me to green pastures and sets me near still water. He Restores my Soul. He guides us in righteousness. Sometimes we stop there. But do you know what else those verses say?

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me! Yes difficult times will come.

However, God is with us through it all! He even prepares a banquet for us in the midst of our enemies. Think about that God feeds our souls while we are in the midst of enemies during the darkest days of our lives. What? It sure doesn’t feel like God is with me. How dare He feed me amidst my enemies.

Maybe you are wondering, “What enemies?”. I don’t have any enemies! Really? What about the people we have a hard time getting along with? People at work, people in the store, people on the road, even people in at home can be difficult at times.

So what can we do? Ask God for His presence in your life. We know that with God all things are possible. Psalm 23 goes on to say God anoints my head with oil and my cup overflows. Anointing oil in the old testament was actually pouring over the head of oil, today we do the same. Often it represents the Holy Spirit in our soul. With the anointing comes with abundance Body Mind and Soul! God has prepared us to lead a better life! We must Trust Him. Understand that goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life as we dwell in the house of the Lord.
